The first National Doctor’s Day celebration was on March 30, 1932, in Winder, Georgia. This day was established to honour the role of medical doctors in preserving good health and promoting community well-being.

During the National Doctor’s Day observance, hospitals, medical societies, and healthcare providers observe several activities, including various social and educational programs. Generally, doctors’ day observances are planned as a weekend get-together. The US National Academy of Sciences is another organization that recognizes the efforts made by doctors and nurses to make the nation healthy. This is how they show appreciation for their continuous efforts to ensure all is well.
